Event: The real Living Wage in Early Learning and Childcare

17 May 2021

Following the success of our previous event last November, Living Wage Scotland are hosting our second online event dedicated to the real Living Wage in Early Learning and Childcare (ELC).

The free virtual event will take place on Monday 7th June 2021, 10.00am to 11.00am, and will be hosted on Zoom. To register for the event, please use the link below.

Speakers will include representatives from the Scottish Government, Early Years Scotland, and Living Wage accredited ELC employers. Living Wage Scotland will present a summary of the real Living Wage, the Living Wage movement in Scotland, and the benefits of accreditation. Our speakers will offer their views and insights into the need for the real Living Wage in ELC and what more could be done to demonstrate the value of the ELC workforce.

There will be a brief Q&A at the end of the session and delegates will have the opportunity to submit questions for the panel.

Suitable for all ELC employers across Scotland, particularly from the private and third sectors, and anyone interested in understanding the importance and impact of valuing and rewarding ELC staff and improving low pay in the sector.
