Post:                          Living Wage Accreditation Officer (maternity cover)

Salary:                      AP5 Point 31 £30,814 plus 6% pension contribution

Working hours:       Full time, 35 hours per week

Contract duration:  Temporary 6 months

Based:                       Poverty Alliance office in Glasgow, with travel throughout Scotland

 

The Living Wage has been one of the most successful civil society campaigns in Scotland and the UK in recent years. Via employer accreditation, Living Wage Scotland have delivered pay rises to thousands of workers.  The campaign has won cross party-political support and has gained increased acceptance amongst employers over the last 5 years.

Living Wage Scotland currently have a vacancy for a Living Wage Accreditation Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-profile national project that engages with employers of all sizes and sectors across Scotland.

The successful candidate will, along with the existing team, be responsible for engaging with employers and other stakeholders to ensure that the network of Living Wage accredited employers continues to grow and that as many workers as possible receive the real Living Wage.

The post of Living Wage Accreditation Officer will suit an individual who has excellent communication and negotiation skills.  Experience of managing relationships with multiple stakeholders is important as is a strong commitment to social justice and a desire to tackle in-work poverty.
